We had another wonderful weekend. We had grand plans of spending the long weekend splitting wood for the winter, but we never got around to that chore. Saturday we drove up to Burlington, VT to walk through their farmers market (or should I say taste test our way through) and to have lunch with our friend Maria and her mother on the waterfront and stroll down Church Street.
The day was lovely and the time spent together very nice.
We woke to a heavy rain fall Sunday morning so, we worked on our to-do list for the house, and actually completed some winter prep projects (not the wood splitting — that is now moved to next weekend). By late morning the sky cleared and the sun came out. By midday our friend Lisa and Dave had finished their house chores as well so they sent an innovation to assist with the first apple pressing of the season at their house. We took then up on their offer thus enjoying a wonderful evening of work and conversation, as well as coming home with enough fresh apple cider to see us through the fall (containers all safely in the freezer at this point).
Monday ended up being another rainy day so we had an indoor picnic and worked on our respective crafts….Batteries are once again charged for a new work week.
Hope you had a lovely Labor Day weekend.
