Take a Chance

I designed and created the “Take A Chance” quilt to help me make up my mind about taking a new job more than 4,000 mile away from my current home. We had always talked about moving to a more natural slower paced area, but when an opportunity presented itself we had to really think about if we really wanted to move that far away from our families.

By the time that I finished the piece we had made the decision to take a chance and try and live one of our dreams. This piece will hang in my new workspace.

The quilt was machine pieced and quilted. The dark blue space fabric was quilted with blue cotton. The lighter blue Milky Way and cubes were quilted with an opal essence thread. The constellations hand embroidered on the top of the quilt with white cotton floss.
